4 the Love of Art, Healing & Inspiration

I love my life!  It is rich with creativity.  Creative energy sits patiently at the bottom of the spine ready to flow upward.  Passion, a safe environment and a sense of personal power channel that energy into the heart center and inspires expansive expression.  There is no limit to what we can create.  Prior to 2010, writing and moving my body were my main creative outlets until my family relocated into a three-story house in Germany with abundant wall space.  We traveled Europe and viewed a wide variety of art.  Everything goes.  I remember being in a Paris hotel one night, dreaming of colors.  Soon after I followed the impulse to paint.  Wow!  The thrill of sweeping color across a canvas just for the fun of it.  It captured my attention and I would often wake in the morning excited to see what I had created, eager to play more.

After returning to the United States, I painted in spurts, mostly in summer months as my studio is in the garage.  As I’ve felt increase in energy, stamina and vitality this past year, painting has become part of my healing process alongside writing.  I love to experiment and discover new techniques.  Every painting takes me on a journey.
